This new video from Greenpeace shows celeb vegans, Billie Eilish and Woody Harrelson, urging fans to do their bit to save the planet. Which includes cutting out meat and dairy from our diets.
‘Our House is on Fire’ is a powerful video which reminds us of what we can do to help the environmental crisis happening right now.
Eilish states “time is running out” and that “we cannot let this happen on our watch.”
Greenpeace – demanding a green and peaceful future

Sometimes, it’s easy to undermine our own abilities to make a positive impact and change when it comes to significant global issues.
We can find ourselves questioning how the small everyday choices we make as individuals contribute to changing global issues. Given the extent of them, sometimes it seems impossible and beyond our ability to help.
However, we must remember our immense power to make a positive difference. Think of all the incredible individuals throughout history who have fought for what they believed in, and succeeded. Martin Luther King fought for civil rights in an unjust and segregated society, Gandhi led India out of oppression, and Emmeline Pankhurst founded the WSPU which succeeded in its fight for women’s right to vote.
All of these are examples of social change which began with one individual’s determination to make a difference.
Indeed, in this Greenpeace video, Harrelson reminds us how if “enough people rise up and demand change, those in power have no choice but to act.”
Little ripples, make big waves:

Eilish and Harrelson remind us of all the things we can do, no matter how small, which can help make a difference.
For example, “taking to the streets” in all relevant protests that will help bring about change will “demand leaders to listen to the science and act” on saving the planet.
They remind us to vote “for leaders who care about the future of our planet” as well as joining environmental movements like Greenpeace and Fridays for Future
Finally, Eilish highlights the vital role of cutting out meat and dairy from our diet and reducing our plastic use. Indeed, there are tonnes of benefits to be reaped from living Life Without Meat.
Above all, keeping yourself well-informed on world issues and making your voice count are both vital for saving, in the words of Harrelson, “the only home we will ever have.”
